"Market bears had one eye open yesterday, but are slipping back into hibernation."  I thought that was a cute, and accurate, way to summarize the day's stock action.  After a couple of down days and talk of a pullback, US stocks once again proved the bull is alive, well, and in charge.  Unless the tax bill progress once again turns south....

Higher US stock prices built on the foundation of moderately higher Asian stock prices (Asia Dow up 0.49%), and even stronger European share prices (STOXX 600 up 0.78%).  Good domestic news added power to the day's rally, after the House passed their tax bill, and Walmart and Cisco came out with gangbuster earnings reports.  

The Dow Industrials were up about 100 points coming out of the gate, and never really looked back.  At the close, the Dow was up 187 points, while the NASDAQ soared to new highs, up 87 points ... Log in or subscribe to continue reading.
