I am writing from one of the most prestigious engineering schools in Europe, attended by famous alumni such as Karl Benz, where I will be participating in a dialogue on the future of sustainable energy. A descendent of the inventor of the electric car (back in the 1930s!) and members of the European Commission will also be contributing amongst many others.
So I arrived in Germany the week of the celebrations of the end of the Berlin Wall. According to AFP:
