Pity the poor stock market. The world is such a mess that it doesn’t know what to discount. We have the Israeli Gaza mess which could calm down or erupt into a bloody war. Over in the Ukraine, Mr. Putin is doing his best to gobble up the choicest (meaning plenty of oil) real estate he can confiscate this side of war. Today one of Obama’s leading fans, the New York Times, throws up its hands and asks, “What are we fighting for?”  The Times wants to put the question up to Congress. After all, we spent three years and thousands of men in taking over Iraq. Remember when Colin Powell said, “If you break it, you own it.” ISIS is not breaking Iraq, but it’s costing the US in the multi-billions. Tomahawk missiles don’t come cheap.
