I've been wrestling with my custom of including personal observations on this site. I've received many e-mails from subscribers who have encouraged me to continue "doing my own thing." Over the last few months, honestly, I've received only two e-mails requesting that I cut out the personal stuff. True, nobody has complained about my World War II pictures and remembrances. Nevertheless, I appreciate all those e-mails with their comments and encouragements. Sadly, I don't have the time or energy to answer each one.
I guess there is one thing in my favor. I've been around for a long time. I lived through the Great Depression and World War II. I've lived on both coasts of America, and I've raised a great group of kids. I've been married thrice, during which time I've done a lot of thinking about myself, about women and about the world.
