Let's talk for a moment about insurance. If you are a homeowner, you know the importance of having a homeowners policy in case of disaster. For many of our local northern San Diego residents, the importance of that insurance was especially clear last week as multiple wildfires raced through the area. This firestorm was not the first of its kind and it certainly won't be the last. What's especially troubling is that it's only May, and the hottest time of the year here is typically August through October. Add in the fact that many believe these fires are the result of arson, and you can imagine why Southern California residents are worried.
