Yes, I listened to the President's speech, "Everything is great and getting better." In a desperate attempt to make his second term a success, he will go it alone -- without the help of Congress. His call is for "action." He will lift the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour. Obama wants far more equality among the wealthy and what's left of the middle class. Make America more than ever the land of opportunity. Fine, but not a word about our real and pressing problems.


I understand that there was almost a revolt at the Fed. Certain members warned Bernanke to halt the Fed's wild money creation, fearing that it would wind up in hyper-inflation. But the Fed cannot completely halt its QE. The Fed is now buying 90% of the Treasuries that are put out for sale. If the Fed halts its buying of Treasuries, who will buy them? Certainly not ...
