I am starting this week’s note whilst 40,000 feet up, somewhere above Russia and flying towards St. Petersburg on the way back from Asia. I spoke at the World Knowledge Forum in Korea, and then had to drop by Hong Kong for some very interesting meetings and also to brief a company’s board on the outlook for 2016 and beyond. I will spend a few days in London, and then I am back to Singapore to speak at some events.
It seems that uncertainty continues and many people are baffled. One of my friends runs one of the largest recruitment firms in the region, and he told me that his sense of hiring plans going forward looks fairly poor.
