I’M FEELING A LITTLE GUILTY LATELY, and maybe just a bit lazy too. What are the long-term implications of Russia’s aggression in Ukraine? Of the US becoming the world’s largest oil producer in a year or two? The big tech sector earnings reports of last week? The Fed abandoning its quantitative easing in October? What about Obama, becoming more and more ineffective? What if the market really is rigged, as author Michael Lewis claims? Are US unemployment numbers as good as they look? How quickly is the dollar losing its reserve currency status? What’s with the VIX?

 

These are just a few of the important questions that concern investors, and which I almost totally ignore. Instead, I mostly just show a few charts, write about how the precious metals and the stock market are doing – and not much more. Why?
