You are starting a new business. You begin by borrowing five thousand dollars. That feels at the time like a lot of money or debt. But time goes by and the business grows, and 15 years later you are making $100,000 a year. So how about your debt? 15 years later, your original debt feels like chump change. Your original debt is now no problem.

 

And guess what? The US is doing the same damn thing -- only big time. The idea is to inflate the US's debt away. Or I should say print the debt away. The Fed knows that if it continues to create a trillion dollars a year, in 35 or 45 years the US debt will be manageable or at least it will feel like it.
